Screw Biology or Bleeding and not Dying

So I just did some math. Say you started your period when you're 12 and you hit menopause when you're 50.

So that's 38 years of menstruating. 38 x 12 months in a year is 456 months of bleeding.

Say the average period is four days long. 456 x 4 is 1,824 days of bleeding and not FUCKING DYING!

Also if you use four tampons in a 24 hour period that's 7,296 tampons in a lifetime.

Why is biology such a douche-canoe? I refuse to believe that bleeding for 3-5 days and NOT DYING is normal.
